About Us
Generation Gap is made up of veterans from some of the most critically-acclaimed and successful bands to play around Southern Colorado. Band members have played in MixTape, Colorado Floyd, War or Breakfast, Aeternum, Retrowave and more! The band itself spans multiple generations and represents an eclectic mix of musical influences and styles. You can hear it for yourself at a show near you.

Meet the Band

RICH - Keyboards / Bass / Vocals
Rich hails from San Diego, CA and started his first band in the Fifth Grade after identifying a huge need for poor to mediocre original rock music at his Elementary School. In the 90's he bounced between numerous alternative rock bands before taking a long break to serve in the US Air Force. After returning to the music scene in 2015, he has played bass in two of the area's best 80's bands; MixTape and Retrowave as well as keyboards in the critically-acclaimed War or Breakfast
MARK - Lead Guitar / Vocals
Joining Rich from War or Breakfast is Mark. Mark got bored one day and decided to learn guitar and the rest is history. He is equally adept at rhythm and lead, and will even lend his vocals from time to time. His day job is cooler than yours and when he isn't shredding he can be found somewhere in the Colorado mountains.

DENNIS - Vocals/Guitar/Keyboards
Dennis joined Rich and Mark in War or Breakfast in July of 2023 and the band subsequently broke up. They don't necessarily blame Dennis, but it is a little suspicious and they keep a pretty close eye on him. He's played in bands across the country....well, Chicago and Colorado. That's across the country we suppose. He brings a hard to duplicate dynamic to the band with his multi-instrument and extraordinary vocal talents.
ANGIE - Vocals/Tambourine
The band met Angie inside a literal haunted house. Because of this, they aren't entirely sure if she is an actual person or some sort of specter. Either way, they try to stay on her good side. Her voice changes shape to adapt to almost any musical style allowing the band to tackle any song it wants. She's also responsible for haunting anyone that says they are going to attend one of our shows and doesn't.

KRIS - Drums/Sounds
Kris was the latest addition to the lineup until Katy and Jose, but has been playing drums in the area for a few years with his other band Colorado Floyd. Not only does he keep the band honest musically, he also taught half of the members the difference between a downbeat and an upbeat. For that alone, he was asked to be part of the group.
KATY - Vocals/Piano
Needing a high end to their harmonies, the band went on a 43-day trip around the world looking for a soprano voice. When they returned Angie said: "Oh yeah, I know someone." Katy showed up at rehearsal one day and she was in. Katy and Angie provide some of the finest harmonies you will find in a band anywhere. If you don't believe us then come to a show and listen for yourself. You won't believe it!

JOSE - Bass/Vocals
Jose was brought in to help realize Rich's goal of being able to field a softball team to compete for the coveted "Band Cup" in Colorado Springs. Turns out that isn't a thing, but bringing in one of the most talented bass players out there was too hard to pass up. Jose plays in 47 bands throughout the city but Generation Gap is his favorite according to Rich.
